It's not hard but it has a sweet spot where you can't just be braindead or you'll get rekt. While 6 can be really hard for newcomers and 8 is insultingly easy, 7 aged very well on that regard: Play Lyn mode and learn, play Eliwood and beat the game regardless of how good you did, then play HHM to actually think ahead and get a challenge.
