What's with the recent "Family" obsession in this franchise anyway? Could it possibly stem from modern-day youth having bad relationships with their parents? Everyone has to be in some family-like friendly dynamic, toxicity isn't allowed, nobody can have fights and nobody can flirt. It's missing depth and dimension. It's fake, it doesn't feel real, I don't feel immersed.
I realize this is expecting a lot from a cartoon hedgehog franchise, but if previous writers could do it, why can't current ones do it?
