Arise did well, but the problem is how it did well. It primarily attracted the normalfag crowd who only play the FotM game and then move on to the next shiny thing. So Bamco first sees this fuckhuge crowd and they get convinced to make a DLC story that they apparently didn't really plan for before. Gotta capitalize on your massive success and all. Problem is that by the time the DLC came out, that crowd already fucking left for other vidya because they weren't Talesfags, so the DLC sold like shit, and now Bamco thinks people aren't interested in Tales because sales suddenly plummeted.
Older Talesfags, who may as well have brain damage for staying on this sinking ship, feel shit on because the recent Tales products are fucking ass. No one asked for a turn-based Tales with Crestoria. No one asked for whatever the fuck Luminaria was. And on that note, the gachas were shut down right quick, with global having a string of quickfire shutdowns after Link (which had a fairly good run), so even those who wanted to paypig got shat on.

Someone at Tales Studio fucked Bamco's CEO's wife right in front of him, and now Tales is getting fucked in the ass dry in retaliation.
