it's not that I love french brands (I do), it's more of an aesthetic thing, some Italian brands also thick my boxes especially in the past. we are all rational beings most of our lives, so I try to pick my bikes with the opposite approach: does this bike appeal to me? does it make me want to ride it? do I like looking at it? after that I select the best I can from a technical pov.
my job demands the absolute necessity of being objective and making the right decisions at all times, so I like to leave some decisions to my heart outside of it
