I have no faith that the Chinese could ever make a comprehensible story for western audiences. They only cater to their market because of the expectation that the audience is well versed in Taoism and Chinese history. Koreans can at least draw upon Christian themes and iconography to keep their game plots inteligible to westerners, because roughly a third of the country is Christian, and it shows in games like Lies of P.
