So now that I've done two events with Ryuji, I don't see why everyone hated him so much in the original P5? Even in universe I remember seeing tons of threads of him getting beat up by the gang. I never played it so I expected him to be a dumbass meathead like Junpei, but he's calm and reasonable. In fact he's always the one stopping Morgana from going full retard.
