truth be told there's actually some similarities to that with Aqua's final arc in the series
>Aqua tries too hard to control/watch over what Terra/Ventus do in BBS, this is brought up directly to her by Terra/Ventus in the big Radiant Garden confrontation and that she doesn't trust them after becoming a Master
>Aqua wants to trust Terra, she boasts about how he's incorruptible to everyone except Terra himself, but is torn between wanting to adhere to her master's (flawed) teachings and her own rigid idea of what a Master should be
>This culminates in the BBS trio's collective failure as both the friends she sought to protect fall to terrible fates
>Years later, she has to rely upon others to get her out of the World of Darkness. Ventus has to be the one to save her from Vanitas. Terra finds his way back to save both her and Ventus from Terranort. She learns she can trust in these people completely now.
>In the final scene, Terra moves to confront Xehanort directly and Aqua grabs his arm to stop him, falling back on old habits of trying too hard to take responsibility and control what her friends do. Terra looks at her calmly, having also developed to have a cooler head and just looks at her like he has to do this.
>Aqua takes the hint, and lets go, allowing Terra (and Eraqus) to make the final confrontation with Xehanort. And in the end, it is Eraqus asking Terra to look after Aqua for him, rather than the other way around like before.
TL;DR the last meaningful thing Aqua does is realizes she has to let a man do what a man has to do and the woman steps back to just let him do his thing.
