This. Aqua had a fine fight record, especially for a female in KH
>Beat Vanitas multiple times, Terranort, 2 v 1 against Hades/Ice Colossus
>Survived in the World of Darkness for 10 years fighting Heartless almost non-stop
It really wasn't until KH3 she started jobbing and then she was hardly the only victim of that in KH3. Axel got it even worse, and really I think the only characters who came out of that whole deal without looking bad at any point was just Roxas/Terra.

Aqua was beating Vanitas in 3 and then he attacked Ventus. I don’t know why people always forget what actually happened when they call her weak or a jobber

It's true she could have / would have won if Vanitas wasn't a cheating dick but she absolutely should have seen as such coming, or at least handled it better than just throwing herself in front of the blast knocking herself out.

truth be told there's actually some similarities to that with Aqua's final arc in the series

TL;DR the last meaningful thing Aqua does is realizes she has to let a man do what a man has to do and the woman steps back to just let him do his thing.

idk what they were thinking having her job to Vanitas in KH3. Sora had already proven himself to be a god numerous times, why couldn't Aqua get her time to shine?
This isn't "bad writing" in the way that wooden dialogue or convoluted storytelling is, this is just bad character writing that feels unsatisfying.

Her and Terra had really bad voice actors. KH is usually really good but those two were actually bad.

She's a good fighter, but my god she's really fucking dumb. And that isn't a KH3 exclusive thing either. She shows plenty of stupid decisions in BBS too.
