if its an idling animation for a bg char its fine
but if its a long acted out emotive shot holding it for 3 frames at12 fps should add more umph to it
better yet add a second drawn frame of the squashed closed eyelids lines

if its function and wider than an a4 size sheet of paper it should work just fine
just get something cheap if you're unsure n work from there
i've seen artists accomplish grat work with the wierdest equipment so it's really a personalized decision
