Hina's event was about showing off places in Gehenna and illustrating how wacky it is.
Neru's event wasn't anything like that, it was all about giving screen time to Rio and Seia, two characters that have not had any outside of their story events. Everything else was secondary.
Hina's event wasn't 100% about Hina, but this event was 100% about Rio and Seia.

So, which is better? From a worldbuilding perspective, Hina's was best for sure, although the missable items on certain days was objectively worse. Not to mention that rerunning Hina's event was an annoying chore, while rerunning this event will be trivial since you can just skip the stealth segments.

I feel like Ako would 1000% be the kind of girl who would resent Hina for taking Sensei from her. Escalating to full cat fight, even.

Some of the Momotalks are a bit spicier than others. A few of the students understand quite clearly that they have the hots for sensei and are past the point of denying it. Chinatsu and Kisaki, for example, both of them invite sensei to push them down during their Live2D segments.
