I'm glad it's still around, she honestly does fit the art style perfectly and with both universes having time-space-dimensional paradox troubles afoot she doesn't even feel out of place. She's quite fun, too. I hadn't ever done much with Melk, but when I committed to finally truly beating Darkest Dungeon and both DLCs, I added her in so that I could try and grow to like her more, and ended up really enjoying pairing her together with my Abomination that joined right at the start and I went to great lengths to protect both of them.
I got exactly what I hoped for: I got attached to Melk, and Gaveston the Abomination not only managed to survive all the way from the very start to the very end but successfully killed the Countess after defeating the Sleeper and Heart
except this is Darkest Dungeon, and it's not a "victory" without "pyrrhic victory"
in hindsight I have to wonder if the 'no death/deathless' approach I started taking to every Girl I cared about all stemmed from having to watch Melk die in the most cruel and horrible way possible
