nta, but I particularly like the Sonic designs he provided for Origins and Dream Team. They're probably some of my favorite depictions of the chacater in 2D alongside CD's opening. I also like that he aims for a different style with each animated project he works on.

Also Hesse wasn't involved with Superstars' opening (it was handled by TMS, iirc), which would explain why aspects of it looked jankier than most of the series' recent animated openings.
