That's a very uneducated view of culture and egoism. It's also funny that you have such an obsession over an egoistic view when Communism itself, or class liberation, is a spook. In this instance, I would quite literally harmed by the implementation of a communist or socialist society and as I look for my own self-interest, I would not consider it. Do you understand what a "spook" is?
The majority of normal people in the modern age rarely actually have spooks, least of all on the right. Even God and Christianity are not things the average Christian believes, but are instead tools that the individual uses to his own advantage to either bludgeon those he dislikes or to advance his own personal aims in some one—at times social, at times political. They are not spooks or spirits in the Stirnerian sense, but known tools that are used pragmatically. Authentically irrational beliefs are rare; But I do give allowance to two major types, among others: Leftist identity politics, which is the humanistic belief that one "should" enact equality or equity among people, and socialism, again, the belief that we should enact equality among classes.
The political spook is more common. Many rightists might simply believe ina vague notion of the "right" and simply adhere to whatever seems that way, but the majority largely hate "leftists" and adopt whatever beliefs are contrary simply to bludgeon and bash those they dislike. In this instance, it is not a spook: It is a tool. It is his own. You, however, are dominated by the ideological spook of socialism. Instead of being a simple tool to advantage you, it is a dogmatic ideology to adhere to. And if it isn't? If you really see it as a tool to improve your happiness?
Well, many people choose Christianity as a tool for their happiness. Many proletarians are happier under their present system. Capitalism is his own. It is not a spook enforced upon him from without but something that he chooses because he enjoys it.
