i catch coons in traps using blueberries/raspberries,blackberries and sweet corn that goes bad from the grocery, they are the DUMBEST fucking mammals i've ever encountered. you can trap one in picrel with a racoon already trapped in a cage 10 yards away making a fucking racket no problem, and when you pull the cages and kill the critters, then reset, you'll get another 2 within the hour.
it seems their drive to get the food on the paper plate in the cage is much higher than their driver for self preservation or pattern recognition
