Back during earlier early access versions, there was another option where you killed One-Eye and maintained status quo. Brendad was revealed to be even bigger piece of shit then (pic rel).
To be fair though, Galahad was an actual maniac back then, the kind that made the rumors true. The Galahad we have now is extremely tame compared to what he was like before.
