On one hand, I would like to think they learned their lesson. Mirabell, Natsu, Ragnarok, etc. We have had so many fan favorite characters released since then. They could have easily put a paywall on any of them but they didn't. On the other hand... Google happened. I can practically feel how bad the situation is since we got like FOUR 48$ dollar packages (Rin, Astaroth, Rinko, Eleanor) in this year alone. It seems obvious the devs are scared about the revenue considering what's been going on recently. With harsher restrictions on lewd skins, devs a forced to please shareholders through other means. Carla being released might have been a "break glass in case of emergency" situation. I know everyone hates when companies get greedy but I also understand what has caused the situation we are currently in. It's just a terrible situation around.
