On one hand, I would like to think they learned their lesson. Mirabell, Natsu, Ragnarok, etc. We have had so many fan favorite characters released since then. Red is far better than green for difficult stages after her renewal. It's actually incredibly powerful, the huge crater set on the ground remains so new waves of enemies fall on top of it, and it builds up Terror which slows down the enemy actually letting you move around. Consider you don't have to equip greens to use Serpent Gaze, after all.

I think you lost me, but the stage that I tried was 75 the one with Sakura, Yukikaze and Rinko at the same time, which is pretty damn hard since Sakura literally homes in on you with Shadow Cleave, Yukikaze can stun you and set up knock back traps and Rinko has Muugenhouen that's the most fucking annoying projectile concievable. Like I wasn't fighting a nobody boss, for a long time Floor 75 of the Tower was the hardest battle the game had to offer and for good reason.

Now, time as a measure of power is a good example yes, however there's more to how useful a character is on an account that doesn't have access to 5/5 supporters or 5/5 UR gacha weapons and has to rely on effectless Arena weapons. Like what's important is actually finishing the stage which is why the greatest factor I used was the ammount of HP they had at the end of the stage. Like for instance Su was one of the fastest characters to finish the stage, but doing so was horrible because she couldn't avoid damage, she can't heal and her super armor forces her to commit the full animation of her skills making her take all the damage. So even if technically she's one of the strongest characters in damage in practice, she's overall pretty inconvenient because of her traits.

As for Emily it's just a matter that in her case she's more reliable with a stronger healing field than with stronger bullets, simple as. It is as you said, she's slow and can't evade, but she also doesn't relent her DPS and has a pretty powerful move in full red Axe Impact to more than make up whatever damatge you lost by not going RGB.
I did also try a 2 blue for Gravity Hold instead of healing field, but Healing Field ended up being more reliable and Axe Impact stronger.

As for defenses, well maybe? but I used level 1 R supporters for everyone so everyone I tested had roughly the same defenses coming from gear

But my relative earlygame was when Event Hard and especially bonus stage bosses could basically 1-2 shot any of my characters, something like the terrible trio was even worse because it was 3 tanky one-shotters trying to get my player character at the same time. Mu-chan could barely win against them with heals (to slowly build back to 100% from about 25% one of the survivable hits left her with), slow down from the Tentacle Mine so the constant dodging was easier and -75% to Defence so it could end quicker. How quicker? Just one successful run of ONE bonus stage would take 15 minutes, give or take depending on the difficulty (and many failed attempts not counted in those 15 minutes). Astaroth could cope with some challenges due to her speed, no need to be in close quarters and damage, but she too was 1-2 hit woman.

That's a part of what I imagine Emily "punching up" against and don't see her succeeding and why I disagree with her and Astaroth's placements, while absolutely agreeing on Mu-chan being S-tier.wkdxm

Nah, Mari's situation is still the worst one. Sakuya gets tons of focus from the story and events. Anyone could easily tell they are trying to give her character development first before they officially add her. The problem here is that people are to used to pump and dump additions to the AT original character roster. Basically, the devs add an original character then barely give them character development after their limited weapon. Noah? Forgotten. Nagi? Forgotten. Etc. The only exception to the rule is Su, but that's only because she's been with Fuuma for so long that she might as be his official wife. Sakuya is different from all the other original characters in that the devs are actually building her up. Mari doesn't have that treatment. She's long been shelved harder than anyone else.

I couldn't agree more. I still don't get why girls themselves can't be the main characters in story and their events.
They literally have Hokage-type Asagi to give missions and other Taimanin to be superiors and commanders. There is really no need for Fuuma or MC that sticks his nose everywhere.
I am not against male Taimanin to be in story, events or h scenes, but normal harem shit doesn't fit Taimanin, in my opinion.
Also, Fuuma's character is kind of realized fully in TABA. I don't get why they used him again, as MC.

My prediction was Melee Astaroth, and I got Melee Astaroth with Ragnorak's icicle ranged attack as a combo finisher.
She looks like faster melee Phantasma which is great, her unique is boring but fine. I was kind of hoping we'd get a poison debuffer but that's my fault for hoping for a poison vampire.
Her paypig weapon seems insane for VR because that's 12% skill damage boost on a weapon not a primary supporter. Her Gacha weapon is also insane.
Build wise I'm thinking it'll be similar to Francis' build - Red Riding Hood Spinel, Wild West Francis for speed buffs then either Lan or a generic 30% damage buffer. Maybe a red build with Evil Bodyguard Nagi, I need to know if she's Blue Red or Green to figure her out.

Overall - She looks Impressive. It's like Gremory learned their lessons from Lan so she's a skill focused character that doesn't have long skill animations for no reason. And her boobs are huge, I like that.
