Try these. Confirmed kill also helps. As long as you keep popping heads and avoiding melee, you should be fine. When in melee, try to move into a safe position while pushing enemies away if you can't kill them fast enough. Default to blocking if you don't know what to do; don't panic, just pull out your melee and block when caught in a bad spot while figuring out what the fuck to do. Blocking may not be good, but it's a hell of a lot better than going down, and easy to default to when you're still learning the class.
