Everything can gather a crowd from foreign pop and metal bands to "local" balkan crap. Zagreb is also mostly southerners so balkan music is disproportionately popular among locals compared to the normal northern towns.
But this decade we're seeing a stronger pushback against this type of music like Pula amphitheater cancelations and pic rel in Đurđevac. It's not just the city administration wanting this, many locals support their actions.
