Neverending Story Part 2 is extremely underrated. It had the mysterious esoteric nature of the first film with kino roger corman-esque b-movie effects and aesthetics thrown in. I feel like people hate it because the first one mogs it, but as a cheap fantasy flick, it stands pretty well on its own, especially when you compare it to the slop of today.
When he forgets the dead mom and they show her on her deathbed after showing her tucking him in it made me feel suicidal in a neat trash cinema way.
