you can buy healing potions at the bazaar
so long as you're not posi they're pretty good, after that they're kinda rubbish
same with nightmares and suspicion
depending on how you feel your best gain rates are checks just below 90 or, for more menaces but a bit more stats, under 60
or below 40 but at that point menaces tend to become a pain in the ass
