I enjoy Lumen in Satisfactory. It lets you cheat out power by using signs and turning up their brightness so that they cast off glows that actually illuminate rooms, rather than requiring the actual game lights which take power.
Pic related is an example. Those "ceiling lights" are just blank signs with a teal background turned up to max brightness, and because of Lumen they cast a natural glow on the room. If Lumen is off, the signs stay bright but the room turns black due to having no in-game lighting effect. Surely there's a way to make the signs give a dynamic, non-Lumen light source, but the whole process is using Lumen to exploit light, not intended, but eventually the devs gave it a seal of approval and chose not to fix it.
