The Golden Boy OG manga has Kinatro join like a virtual sex cult and its like 2 volumes long of a flashback sequence featuring the original girl he loved back in University who made him into the traveller he is in the present. They have a bunch of philsophical talks and theres a constant question if she cucked him behind his back with his university rival.

Theres no real fucking resolution to what happened to her and Golden Boy 2 does not address what happened either. You unironically have to go meta to get some sense of closure or youll lose your fucking mind.
