Cervantes was so fun in II. He looks like shit in every game since and his move set has just gotten weird. I do prefer being able to shoot whenever in the later games though. The impact attacks that make him shoot in II are ridiculous, it's hard to time a regular guard impact let alone anticipate whether it's a horizontal or vertical.
