Unironically read Mushoku Tensei. Its fantasy imo. It filers a lot of people because the main character is morally ambiguous and he doesn't always make the morally correct decisions. But that's part of what makes the series so great. Because the protagonist's flaws help him feel more real and less like a blank slate self insert.
The setting, the lore, the worldbuilding, and the characters are all top notch. And if you can go into the plot blind, then it actually has some batshit insane plot twists that will blow your mind because of how well foreshadowed they are.
