It was a fun ride, but there is no fucking way in hell people who aren't already mechafags could understand this. You have to have seen 79, Zeta and NGE to be the sole target audience for this stuff.
If you want a show you could recommend for being good while also taking on the ideas of Gundam (downright copying certain chapters out of it) and NGE, then I'd most definitely point people at Eureka Seven instead.
GQuuux is more in line with something like Nadesiko. A show aimed at people who watched something else and building on top of it in a semi-comedy, semi-serious faced way.
