But Machu showed them that there are no true Newtypes and that being a Newtype just means constantly evolving and being true to herself, which woke up Lalah and made Challia and Char try to be better.

Pretty much everything I expected, in a good way. I could basically go down a checklist of every line of dialogue either being a reference to the original UC or something from an earlier episode. The only one I will mention is that I specifically said Challia's refusal to answer Deux's assertion about cybernewtypes is meant to affirm that it's the same as his own belief.
They even gave Challia the Godzilla -1 treatment, no sacrifices even for hypocrites with bloody hands. Take responsibility for the future.

Production values kind of janky though, the rose universe recreation of the Lalah-Char-Amuro incident and Shuuji's gundam look so cheap. Just a bit of surface texture and shading would make that shit look way better.
7/10 overall, a few episodes peaked at 8.

I really like the characters and the setting, the studio should have just done that and handed it to someone else or alternatively not let Anno spend over half the series on his fanfiction. I know officially he was only involved in 2 & 8 but the tone of the later episodes is so similar that I can't believe he had nothing to do with it.
I doubt at least Tsurumaki would want to do it anyway, this is the longest series he's ever done, maybe the ending was his way of telling everyone to fuck off.
The fun parts were Machu running around smashing everything and Nyaan accidently blowing people's heads off, they should make a spinoff about that.

To be honest Idk how to feel. In general I'm positive about it, but I kinda wanted to see more of the Earthnoid terrorists and how Zeon would try to stomp them out. For me the show's climax was in episode 7, then it went down from there. I don't hate it. I knew evagundam would be a think, but idk how to feel about the execution. Some bits feel a bit tacked on like the line about Machu living a stifling life (they didn't make it seem stifling enough), the Kycilia headshot moment as well, since Ghiren was killed in a different way Kycillia could've been killed a different way too.
The way the show was done makes me think Shuji either ended up on the other side or wherever he is originally from or dead.
I'm not wholly against what happened, but it definitely needed more time to bake. Another cour would have neen nice to properly develop the events after episode 7, 50+ episodes would've been too much unless they included the earthnoid terrorist stuff mentioned.
However there is one thing I absolutely loved and that's my beloved Nyaan. She felt like the most compelling of the new characters. Nyaan love! Nyaan Supremacy! Nyaan did nothing wrong, she did what she had to to survive!!!

I watched everything except G-Witch and IBO which I dropped halfway through.

This was so fucking bad, holy shit. The entire goddamn show is just a fanfic written by a bunch of boomer Gundam fags. The main characters weren't even fucking characters. They had no backstory, no characterization worth a damn, zero fucking chemistry, and zero humanity. Nothing that happened in the story made any sense whatsoever, it was a disjointed mess. The characters don't evolve or progress in any way, they're entirely worthless cardboard cutouts. Machu becoming a criminal for no reason and running away? Who cares. Nyaan's abandonment issues that come and go completely at random? Who cares. Shuji's nonexistent personality? Who cares. His obsession with Lalah? No problem, it took exactly two sentences to change his entire life's motivation, he loves Machu now and doesn't care about Lalah. What does GQuuuuuuX even mean? Fuck if we know. Writing sure is easy when you don't give a shit.
And the fucking memberberries were the worst part by far. No elegance, not even a small attempt at incorporating all that fanservice, they literally just throw that shit in your face and expect you to clap.

It's a shame because the setting itself is great since it actually has a believable scenario where Zeon wins but has to deal with the political and economical outcomes of the war unlike nearly all of the WW2 alt. history fiction where the Axis somehow just dominates the world without any difficulty, and the show was at it's best when dealing with the characters from the original series and their place in this different timeline but they had to focus the plot on a trio that they didn't have nearly enough time to develop and often felt like they were hogging the spotlight away from more interesting stuff. The only thing I hope is that they at least make supplemental material that expands on what happened with the other surviving characters because there's a lot of questions that were obviously never going to be answered even if this show wasn't rushed.

Easily 2/10 and I'm being kind here. It made no sense at all. The story is all over the place, the only thing going for it were the nostalgia references. The three main character had nothing going as a character at all except for being madly in love with Shuji, and Shuji is STILL unexplained.
I just finished OYW, Z, ZZ this week, and I absolutely loved all of them, especially Zeta and ZZ. I knew CCA, Unicorn, War in the pocket, Hathaway, Build Fighters, Narrative, GReco, Gbitch and Mobile Fighter Gundam beforehand.

Watched basically all of UC but skipped Igloo, G-Saviour, Origin except the Cucuruz Doan's Island movie, Thunderbolt and a few obscure ones.
All the AUs except for AGE (dropped after first gen), IBO (in backlog after some other 4-cour mechas) and Builds.
Basically it's pretty fun to watch (and especially shitpost) every week but the writing really pisses me off and I hope Tsurumaki stays away from Gundam or any pre-existing sci-fi series forever.
