As someone from eastern Spain and knows Catalan and Gaelician you are hilariously wrong. It's a different reality out here, even people from Valencia got their own dubbed versions, they are contentious af about being called catalan, even though Valencian is actually just an accent. Catalan Gaelician and SPECIFICALLY Basque are completely different languages with different pronunciation rules, sounds and grammar structures. As an unholy mixture of Spanish and French/Portuguese, unlike a mere accent with a couple words, if you know only Spanish and you step into a Valencian majority region, you won't understand jack shit. Not even the likes of thickest accents like Scottish can compare. Take it from someone who knows.
