Choosing songs and voices on a case-by-case basis is the true path. Some song are better in the American OST, while other are better in the original OST. Same goes for the voices - you'd have to be a real contrarian to think that the grandma is the better choice, but there are still some Jap voices that are superior.

I realize this may seem like an odd question, but why did Gohan teach Videl a shitty, inferior method of flight?
For those who don't know, there are two ways of flying in the Dragonball universe. The first method, used by Goku and most other characters, is simply directing your ki downwards in order to lift yourself off the air. This is really hard to do because it exhausts you pretty quickly unless you just have tons of ki, and is why people tend to float back down to the ground when they are worn out. The second means of flying, used by Piccolo (and Puar lmao), is with magic. How magic works is incredibly nebulous, but magic is definitely different than ki, and the implication is that Piccolo's means of flight doesn't tire him out.
Since Gohan was trained by Piccolo, he was presumably taught Piccolo's version of flight. But when Gohan teaches Videl to fly, she gets tired really fast, which means that Gohan taught her the shitty ki flight. Why would he do this?
