if you guys want a real story:
>in a large friend group related to a campus ministry group (so you fuckin' KNOW it's incestuous in terms of people dating each other's exes)
>two friends are in a constant state of will-they-won't-they (he's 25, she's like 34)
>married woman invites her 20-yo younger sister who just called off her betrothal to move into town
>her husband is like "idk what you're doing throwing a molotov cocktail into an already unstable dating sphere but okay.png"
>she moves in
>she goes on dates with three different guys the first month she moves into town
>I get asked if I'm going to ask her out- I say no, because I know about her past engagement and know she's still reeling over her broken engagement
>guess what- she starts dating the 25M
>34Foid eggs are shrivelling up and she gets big sad (don't worry: she got married this year, after 2 years on dating apps)
>they date for about 6-8 months
>she gets "bad feels" and abruptly breaks up with him as predicted
>my moid friend gets nearly suicidal
>things start to heal with time, everything's going back to normal
>moid is almost recovered, ends up spending more time with another girl (WHO IS ALSO HIS EX'S ROOMMATE)
>Foid sees this and starts FOMOing because she blew up the relationship because of bad vibes more than any rational reason
>Foid implements 'we should get back together' protocols
>they get back together, other girl is crushed, she and the other roommates are annoyed because he comes over all the time, usually unannounced, late at night
>now it feels like once a month they're in a situation that's going to lead them to a breakup
I was talking to another girl in the friend group and we had both come to the same conclusion- we should date outside of our friend group to avoid this kind of bullshit.
