My 2070 isn't cutting it anymore and there's a local store selling a9070XT Reaper 16GB for a little over $1000 AUD.

I just wanna play 1440p at high fps, but would it be silly to buy right now with what might be on the horizon? I probably won't want to upgrade the rest of the PC around it if it'll function nicely enough. Any advice much appreciated hehe!
