WoW lore after Cataclysm is like Star Wars EU, lots of over the top cosmic shit that try to one up the original story (Episode I-VI, in this case Warcraft 1 to WotLK). I simply can't bring myself to care. Like the void lords just remind me of yuuzhan vong. Sure the threat is grander but the big bad for the longest time was Sargeras (Sidious) and its pretty insane that he got an unceremonious and nothingburger death. And Lich King was like Darth Vader but what if he was a mini-boss and not a redeemed villain.
