I really adore this mechanic because sometimes he won't be roaming an area like he should, so I immediately think he despawned before getting legitimately jumpscared

another thing I think helps make the encounters in this game feel more dynamic than they did in SB or Ruin is the way he increases in speed the longer he sees you, and his base speed is already pretty fast. he doesn't have the most complex AI but you actually have to be smart about how you evade him
