The freezing comment was just banter, also the conscripts that held the event had been doing for a very long time at that point. Just sitting in a room for 9+ hours everyday trying to wrangle 18 year olds.

Most people are kind of cold & some banter, I suppose its the effect of a depressing flat cold country with no sunlight.
