They both barely get any content updates to be honest. GW2 is doing micro expansions and the last two were legitimate ass, the upcoming one will at least add new elite specs which is something decent. But either way compared to WoW you get drip fed new content. Like waiting 3 months for a 25 minutes of new story that's mostly listening to NPCs talk.

That being said, unlike WoW content never goes bad, and if you're a new player you have like 12 year worth of stuff to play through that's all mostly still relevant with rewards that are still meaningful.
