ive been studying trek for years and have reached the conclusion that an anthology series is the only way out of this mess. ironically the best way to save star trek is to abandoned the concept on which it was founded, recurring cast.
8 60 minute episodes per year
set in trek universe but each one a completely seperate story with a completely separate cast.
this way the writers and producers are forced to tell a compelling story or no one will watch.
itd be better for the fans but itd also be better for the studio because it would function like a trek pilot factory for spinoffs when they accidentially nail one.
