No one, skinny or fat, should be left behind in a group. It’s ok to be a slow hiker, just find someone else who will hang back with you or who is also a slow hiker. A slow hiker should know their ability and be real with themself. Don’t go hiking with a bunch of trail runners if you are slow. Find naturalist friends. Plantfags and birdfags love going slow and looking at stuff.
