It's just not your thing, anon, and that's perfectly fine. I'll be the first to admit that liking pokemon is not a normal thing, the majority of fans simply enjoy cool monsters and the games proper. But it is still a sizeable portion of the fanbase, and thus it is rather large and people enjoy themselves with art and fanfics and whatnot.
