This >>11905449 plus the two Neutopia games on PC Engine are great classic games that take shameless inspiration from the first Zelda game. Neutopia II in particular feels to me in many ways like the middle ground between the original Zelda and A Link to the Past that Nintendo never made, like Zelda II from a mirror universe.
