Same, I try to lift and eat clean, which helps a lot. The most comfortable I ever am is after those facemelting workouts where you give it your all and get an endorphin high for a few hours. I recently started dabbling with phenibut, since it's an alternative to alcohol that won't destroy your health, but you can only take it 1x/wk or the rebound sucks ass. I think I'll just do what you're doing and hit 1 glass of wine every now and then before going out. I've tried some off label anti anxiety stuff like lyrica and baclofen, but it doesn't have the same punch alcohol does on easing the nerves. Idk, I still have hope that this can be worked on, maybe with the right combination of liquid courage and exposure therapy
