Same, it breaks my heart that we went from gameplay-centric, fast-paced hitscan goodness & video game pioneering to now, giving apes who don't even care about games an outlet for their psychopathy. The way they marketed Wolfenstein II was one of the cruelest things you could do to a franchise's community, especially a modest one that was always middling in popularity, but dignified and not mean-spirited. Now, when anyone thinks of Wolfenstein, the immediate hit is political brainrot Elon/Trump/Republicans bad, rather than anything about the games themselves.
