I said it upon release and I'll say it again now: this piece of shit is the epitome of being boring and uninspired tie-in movie corporate slop. It feels like a game from 2014 and I mean that negatively. It does not respect your time, trivial events are dragged out in 3+ minute long cutscenes with these uncanny motherfuckers mugging for the camera with their spongy skinsuit faces and weird floating clothes that seem to hover a few inches off their bodies. The stealth is abysmal, the controls jank, the AI retarded, but the quest design is absolutely fucking insulting. Example: in the Vatican I overheard that a kid had been beaten up and locked up, so I went and investigated the barracks in a restricted area (using the dogshit stealth the entire time), and found a locked jail door. There was a keyring on the wall, but no keys on it. After about half an hour of me searching every single place and being forced to beat the guys up, I left and wandered around before finally stumbling upon the archeologist who's boy servant had been taken, therefore formally initiating the quest. I got back to the barracks. Still no key. You need to GO INTO THE JOURNAL (a clunky as shit system on it's own) AND MANUALLY TRACK THE QUEST. The key appeared on the ring magically and a fat fuck enemy you need to do power punches appeared with it. THEN you can open the jail door. Were they fucking serious with this quest system? Todd??? How can any faggot on earth call this an immersive sim when it fundamentally lacks the freeform nature of an immersive sim?? There's no FUCKING IMMERSION.

I remember the combat being truly awful in Infernal Machine, and that's comparing it to classic TR which also has pretty bad combat, but at least Lara's gymnastics can make most fights more bearable. It does have some nice exploration, though, and some of the puzzles are alright.

The idea sharks are endangered has little to no scientific basis. It originated with a documentary crew that had some trouble locating some sharks to film their documentary so they leapt to the conclusion it must be because they're endangered species and then the environmental advocacy groups just ran with that and so political decisions were made to mark them as endangered species.

The excessive amount of menus and upgrade systems filtered me. Had no idea how I was supposed to manage my resources since combat was feasible but enemies kept respawning/getting stronger at checkpoints. Got analysis paralysis on the upgrades and still felt like I picked wrong (early necropsy is shit). None of my weapons did anything so I just got frustrated and quit.

Loved Dishonored 2 though. Replayed that one to get a ghost pacifist run.
