And time for the new armor manufacturer of the week. Introducing... SERBAN.

As they quote, their plates are straight from Asia's elite lines and toughest factories. They've got three!
1. Level III, 5.06lb, rated for 6x M80 or M855. $300. BUILT FOR THE GRIND.
2. Level IV (SiC + PE), rated for 1x M2AP or 5x 7.62x51 M80, 5.9lb and $450.
3. Level IV+ (B4C + PE), rated for several M2AP or 1x .50 BMG FMJ at 850m/s. Sub-30mm BFD (yeah okay), 1" thick, 6.83lb, $500.
They also have a druggie t-shirt collection and some other weird shit.
My observations:
1. Nice that they're honest about Chinese sourcing. Better than other companies lately...
2. The thickness on the .50 cal plate is wrong, just going off the picture it's 1.4" thick, easy.
3. The III and IV check out on first observation - at least on paper, there's nothing noteworthy about the specs. The .50 cal plate is immediately suspect and I call cheat ring - especially given that it's the same price as a Militech B4C + PE Level IV from 2018 and yet is far, far more reinforced if it can stop .50 cal FMJ at 850m/s sub-30mm BFD. Extra material costs dictate something has to be subtracted.
That Rook MEGALODON bullshitter plate had BFD north of 80mm, also B4C+PE, but with a suspected 2" cheat ring, so this plate is apparently much more beefy.
