Something like this for starters, but with ZL and ZR being analog triggers, clickable sticks (counting as SL and SR) and that controller stays the same going forward, just wireless 2.4Ghz (later Bluetooth), AA Battery power (later custom rechargeable and USB compatible (for charging and wired mode for reduced input lag).
