George Lucas is on record saying that he wanted to create a arch droid villain that ran away when he begins to lose ground. I'm of the opinion that Tartakovsky didn't get the full memo and made he a complete fucking badass.

Also, does anyone else here dislike General Grievous having four arms? I think Tartakovsky's depiction of him using his feet to wield lightsabers is way cooler. Grievous' first combat scene in Clone Wars is still his best to date. He's more a horror villain in that.
