You can try, but the left is more fervent so it would still need to have gays and minorities in it or else they'll denounce it outright due to lack of representation. And old ideals that used to be safe and simple don't really work anymore. For example, Mario can't just rescue Peach from Bowser, that's now considered right wing, so Peach has to rescue herself and refuse to kiss him.

Undertale and Deltarune's messages aren't even particularly left wing, it's literally just the gay/tranny stuff. Deltarune's message that escapism is only good in moderation is kinda' conservative.
