The Dark Forest Theory is a stupid solution to the Fermi paradox. It hypothesizes that there are a lot of technologically advanced aliens but we don't see or hear them because they stay silent like hunters in the dark. Anyone that makes a noise gets shot at. But how the fuck would a species that just developed radio technology know they shouldn't send out signals? The dark forest theory in the 3 body problem books claims that aliens have a "hiding gene" that humans do not. Utter bullshit. Whites have come up with far better solutions to fermi's paradox.
