Also the way modern studios operate and the way shows are shot, everything seems compartmentalized and specialized, so there's no concerted effort to meticulously catalogue and store props together after shooting wraps.
I was watching this architectural exposé on Wednesday Season 2 and the production designer Mark Scruton talks about how they actually had to rebuild the principal's office in another location, and hunt down the original Gorgon's head fireplace:

I guess props go back to the prop-makers after shooting, which comprise multiple disparate artisan studios.
You really need to shoot things back-to-back in order for things to go smoothly.
Good news is season 3 is already greenlit.
