There's very little space inside, see? I don't own one (yet, thanks HPA) but I can't imagine they do much and from what I hear it seems to be true. They also are a pain to clean. Maybe an ultrasonic cleaner or "the dip" could help but I hear they fill up rather fast and start to get louder.
