OP never stated this was a haiku thread or that he was writing a haiku, if anything he's showing us a poetic use of greentexting we've all related to haikus because the character OP speaks of is a haiku writer.
"what about this one" does evoke the thought of the post being a haiku, but the greentexting implies the description of a situation and in this case this implication wouldn't necessarily render the post as a haiku. It's seemingly left 'open', a post that plays with the haiku and the greentext.
Even if it wasn't OP's intention, it's an interesting use of the greentext.
